Melissa has been an abolitionist and activist since 2007 and has worked closely with U.S. Congressman Van Taylor and U.S. Senator John Cornyn, who shared Melissa's story on the Senate floor. In addition, she worked with President Barack Obama and the US Senate to create National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Melissa serves on the board to share her experience, strength, and hope.
